Love is quite an odd thing. I am a romantic when it comes to it. I believe love never dies, no matter the distance, no matter the other issues that come into place. One might wish to terminate a relationship, and live with it, with scars or without them, but one never ceases to love.
I know other things do affect relationships. I know past experiences change the way you let your love take over; I know that having a bad relationship for very long immediatelly propells you to look for as many experiences as you can, for one is afraid never to have the chance again, and never to be able to trully choose among options.
But what I know and how I feel rarely agree. I know what is needed, but I feel like it shouldn't be. We let our brains get too much in the way, I think, and our heart is usually right when it makes a choice.
Who knows what will happen. Love may return someday, but love doesn't work when you only keep it as a distant possibility. If one doesn't embrace it, and accept it, it never comes to be what we want it to be. One has to risk losing it all, if one is to be able to win some.
